Delay of routes
Research shows that users tend to use public transit more often when its vehicles arrive on time. That is why tracking your vehicles' delay is a crucial first step. For every trip, Chronos records the delay between the actual and scheduled arrival times at every stop. Users may see, for every route, trip, or vehicle, how often they arrived at their stops on time, late, or early. For a finer detail, Chronos also presents a timeline of how the delay increased or decreased across time for a given route, trip, or vehicle.
Wait times
For any transit user, the best feeling is when you don't have to wait for your ride! Waiting times at stops are crucial to users, and will impact how often transit services are used. Chronos is able to show how much actual wait times differ from scheduled wait times on different parts of the city. It will identify areas of the city and/or times of the day when wait times are irregular.
Accuracy of live data
Planning for the best transit service possible requires having data as accurate as possible. However, is your vehicles' ETA accurate? How much can users trust your agency's real-time wait times? Chronos is able to evaluate the accuracy of the data provided by your transit agency by employing a widely-used ETA Accuracy Benchmark.
Transit Reports
Most transit agencies publish quarterly or yearly performance reports, as proof of concept that the transit service is working as planned. Creating these reports, however, requires combing through hundreds of thousands of data points! Chronos is able to generate PDF performance reports, automatically formatted and ready to be published! It only requires a time range for the report, which saves lots of hours of data processing, formatting the document, and review process.
